Volunteering within the school is encouraged

Volunteers

The school recognises that voluntary help is an important and valuable expression of parental involvement in the life of the school and wishes to encourage you in this endeavour. Volunteers are welcome in the school, whether it is in a classroom or outdoor setting.

WWCC

Before a person commences ‘volunteer help’ they will need to get a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and also be part of a small induction with the Assistant Principal/Head of School.

All visitors to the school, including parents, need to sign in at the office and sign out when they leave the school campus. You will be asked show your WWCC as you sign in.  The sign in system will produce a printed label with your details on it, which you need to wear, so that all staff are aware, that the correct procedure has been followed.

We have this protocol as a protection for the safety of all people on the school campus as to their whereabouts. This is especially crucial in an emergency situation.
