The CHCS board is made up of 8 Association members who are responsible
for the governance of the school

Association

Circular Head Christian School began with a group of people linked together by a vision for Christian Education in Circular Head.

Members of the Association annually elect a Board which governs the school and sets policies for the developmental direction of the school.

The association also operates a building fund where tax deductible donations can be made at any time.  Please contact the office if you would like further information.

Association Membership

Membership of the Association is open to professing Christians who are able to sign the following declaration:

  • I declare my personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour, Lord and God.

  • My wholehearted acceptance of, and agreement with, the Educational Creed and the rules of the Association.

  • I promise to pray regularly for the work and objectives of the Association, to be actively involved in the affairs of the school & give regular financial and in-kind support to the Association as God enables me.

Board

The Board is made up of nine Association Members and the members serve on a voluntary basis.  Each person serves for a 3 year term, with 3 members coming up for re-election each year.

Board members act on behalf of the members of the School Association in relation to their legal obligations (including financial), in much the same way that the board of a company operates.

The role of the Board is to provide sound governance for the school, and to determine the vision and mission for the School.

This provides a picture of the future and guides our strategic planning, measures existing programs, determines the basis for the appointment of staff, the development of facilities, buildings & grounds, and generally shapes all that happens at Circular Head Christian School.

Board members are well-informed about all areas of Circular Head Christian School's operations via information provided regularly by Leadership staff – Principal, Assistant Principal & Business Manager.

Board meetings are held monthly during school terms, with the Annual General Meeting being held in April of each year.

Chair: Mrs Jacky Huisman
